What will you be doing?

As our Senior Strategist at Boomerang Agency you are responsible for writing communication strategies for our new and existing clients. As a Senior Strategist you are integral to your team.

You will integrate consumer insights into meaningful strategies and campaigns. These brand strategies need to be translated into tight briefings. Independently you make annual plans, creative & social campaigns, content plans. You create creative briefings from a strategic view, measure the impact and evaluate the results together with the team and the client.

You are always ahead of trends about new media and platform developments and cultural zeitgeist, while advising our clients on how to implement these insights.

Some responsibilities:


·       You will be doing the analytical thinking and drawing conclusions of research reports;

·       You will analyze and explain media-reports to your colleagues and clients.

·       You will create action plans for research.


·       You will challenge and help define our clients with their objectives and strategies;

·       Make strategy presentations with a clear point of view;

·       Write creative briefs, debriefs and case-studies.


·       You will review projects and make recommendations on true insights and creative routes;

·       You are a great sparring partner for your clients;


·       You will give presentations to your team and clients;

·       You will run workshops for your (interdepartemental) teammates, or even our clients.

Who are we looking for?

·       You have at least 5 years of experience in the communication sector as a strategist, or you have experience in strategic marketing. You understand and create multiple strategies: brand /social /digital strategies.

·       You run and oversee projects independently and take ownership of projects and their outcomes.

·       You are a sparring partner for the client.

·       You can combine your curious mindset with creativity. Management knows you can be trusted to establish and substantiate a point of view.

·       Creatives look for you to help them prove an argument or flesh out a brief, This means you have the skill to explain the data in comprehensible language

·       You have excellent presentation skills and you know how to make the material appealing and command the room; you can make people listen to your ideas.. You present to clients with authority, ‘front’ meetings. You love to share your knowledge and experience with juniors and other strategists go to you for advice.

Je zult binnen Boomerang gaan werken in een vast team in ‘Cel 2’

De rol als strateeg in cel 2

Bestaat grotendeels uit werk voor Albert Heijn. Hierin ben je met name betrokken bij het begin van een project door zitting te nemen in de briefing, kritische vragen te stellen over het doel van de campagne en duidelijk te krijgen wat de rol en taken voor Boomerang bevatten. Die verzamel je in een debrief en stem je af met de klant en met het creatieve team.

Vervolgens stem je deze af met de CD en ECD wat de te bewandelende route is voor creatie. Waar we een kans zien en hoe we dit in een campagne/format/presentatie kunnen vatten. Dit stem je ook af met account en project om daarna zo snel mogelijk tot heldere deliverables te komen waar de klant zich in kan vinden. Dat is een iteratief proces.

Tenslotte kenmerkt je werk zich door het beter maken van presentaties. Zorgen dat ze duidelijk zijn en voldoen aan de vraag maar ook een duidelijk beeld schetsen over hoe de campagne of het format werkt. Dat zijn slides zoals een mediaplan, ecosystem, kalender etc.
