The temporary role
Our People Manager will be on maternity leave from April 7th 2023 until September 2023. We are looking for an experienced People Manager to help us with the ongoing People activities during a period of six months (Mid-March 2023 – Mid-September 2023). You will be part of our People, Finance & Operations team + DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) project team and you will be working closely together with our Office Manager, Executive Assistant, Finance Manager and COO as well as other team leads and team members. You are professionally mature, fully up to date if it comes to, for example, People law, flexible where possible and tenacious where necessary. As a people person, you are hands-on, open, result-oriented, motivating and a true connecter.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for recruitment in close collaboration with the Hiring Manager
  • Responsible for onboarding new colleagues in close collaboration with the Hiring Manager and Office Manager
  • Responsible for payroll in the Netherlands as well as in the UK, Germany, Canada, and Ireland
  • Responsible for contract management
  • The first point of contact for team members and team leads regarding People questions
  • Part of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion project group to make sure we learn together about this important topic and create policy and clarity around it for the whole team
  • Manage the first concept of the People budget 2024
  • Leading the mid-year Growth Talks cycle (performance development)
  • Organising People activities with the PFO and Marcom team.

What do you bring?

  • An open and hands-on mindset with at least 5-7 years of experience in an advising People/HR role
  • You have experience in implementing DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) in a multistakeholder organisation
  • A team player with excellent project management skills
  • You identify yourself with our core values: Empower each other, Put words into action and being Compassionate & Honest
  • An eye for detail, precise and good communication skills (Dutch & English)
  • Experience in working in an international environment
  • A plus if you have experience working for impact-driven nature organisations
  • Availability for 2.5/3 days per week for six months (starting end of March 2023 – rounding of mid-September 2023)
  • You are located and eligible to work in the Netherlands.
